Ruh Khus has a deep, rich, mossy, earthy, and tenacious character with an appealing sweet wood quality and a very light green top note; it has a refined aroma without any smoky or harsh notes – simply beautiful!.

It has a deeply earthy pulse with a slightly smoky note, which then leads into a smell of texture. The texture of embodiment, grounded reality and dried, cut wood.

Ruh Khus is extracted from the North Indian vetiver root. Although it is vetiver, the north Indian variety has a pleasant odour and is used as a perfume by itself. Its fragrance has a cooling effect on the body. Vetiver (Vetyver) oil, made from a grassy plant, native to India, Java and Haiti, gives this Art Parfum a cooling, soothing and fresh scent that will invigorate the senses. Like the woven vetiver root mats, hung in the doorways in India to cool and refresh the circulating air on hot summer days, Vetiver Special of the 'PPG' Collection, comes as a cool breeze to purify, cleanse and invigorate, clear the mind and settle the soul. It has a beautiful thick, Emerald GREEN colour, with a deep wet earth after rain, minty, woody and mossy scent that is known to stick, linger and project for hours. Can assist with insomnia and getting a better nights sleep.

Method of Extraction: Hydro-distillation (Deg & Bhapka Method). Pure Vetiver Ruh Khus or 1st quality, the fragrance oil is extracted by steam distillation from its roots. The oil is of a very dark green colour and dress is rather thick. Superior quality obtained from the cultivated variety, it offers a fragrance that evokes both warmth and compassion. Khus / Vetiver is also called the "oil of the tranquillity".
